AMD Athlon 64s sort of missing from price list

Forgot to revise them, or constrained availability?
Mon Jun 07 2004, 08:57
IT'S NEARLY A week since AMD introduced three Athlon 64s at Computex 2004, but the chips have not yet appeared on the firm's pricing page.

Well they sort of have, but you have to look in the right place, which isn't in the logical place.

The firm introduced the 3800+ and the 3500+ and an FX53, as well as a 3700+ processor.

This page doesn't seem to change, but this page has the right information.

Some reviews of these products have already appeared.

This article, for example, at Ace's Hardware, reviews the 3800+, the 3700+ and the FX 53.

The review, by Johan De Gelas, says that the numbers are a bit lower than he expected. This, he suggests, is because the bus turnaround is set to two by default.

If you go to the front page and click on processor roadmap, it takes you to an ancient old place.

We suggest AMD re-think its web page. It's getting a bit rusty, anyroad. µ
