IT IS still one of the most powerful graphics card you can buy. At £190.00+VAT, the Gainward Powerpack! Ultra/2600PCX 256MB PCIe DVI Vo card should cater for most users. With a core/memory speed of 400MHz/1.1GHz plus a well designed heat sink fan that blows air outside the case, it is a better option probably than the more expensive X850XT PE. Two DVI-I ports and the ability to SLI it later makes it an almost perfect gift.

What's the cheapest Plasma screen in UK? Well, ask Ebuyer, and they'll say that they have it stocked. Actually, they offer by far the best deal. For £901.16 VAT inclusive, you get a 42-inch Plasma screen with built-in Tuner and integrated speakers as well as a stand. Plus on that you get a free DiVX player. It's a Hisense product, the PDP4211EU - never heard of them but customers seems to love them.

Thanks to our own Charlie for pointing me to this one. AMD staunch supporter Monarch Computer Systems is having a "Georgia State's Tax Free Holidays" on July 28 - that's today. You get a 7% tax break on Everything they sell with a $1500 barrier. Also they will be demoing the first official ATI Crossfire exhibition in Northern America today in their retail store.

Ecost is selling a 256MB Mach Speed USB drive/MP3 player for only $19 after rebates. It ressembles the usual Pen drive that we've been accustomed to - oblong in format with a cap at the end and a LC display. Runs on AAA batteries and compatible with WMA and MP3. 90 days warranty. Can't go cheaper than that. µ
