Abit mobos suffer Western Digital glitch

THERE'S A THREAD over at Via Hardware which suggests that if you connect the Abit KT7, KT7A and KT7E boards to Western Digital hardrives you could be in for something of a disappointment.

According to the note, the problem is caused by a firmware incompatibility and WD is working the hard drive version of its cotton socks off to get round the problem.

You're advised to keep your eyes on Western Digital's site to see if their socks are cottoned up yet.

And you can find the Via Hardware page here. ยต
