THERE ARE some benefits to being a Virgin Mobile or Virgin Media customer – and one of them is the chance to get your hands on tickets for the V Fest music festival before others. And it's today.
A certain degree of confusion has surrounded these 'presale' tickets ever since Virgin started emailing registered customers about the opportunity last week. Few, it seems, realised that the tickets didn't go on sale until 4th March.
There's also confusion over exactly who qualifies. However, a Virgin Mobile spokesman told the INQ that his company has a database of every Virgin Mobile telephone number that's ever been issued – all 17 million of them.
So you don't have to be on a contract, you can just provide your prepaid telephone number. Contract customers and Virgin Media subscribers can provide their customer number.
Although there have also been radio ads providing the information, the correct URL is actually seetickets.com/vmobile/. The correct phone number is 0871 2305579.
As the INQ pointed out two years ago, the V Fest has become the new Glastonbury. No-one really cares who's playing, they just like to be in a big field in either Essex or Staffordshire.
So the V Fest sells out fast. Unlike some of the events that O2 sponsors.
There's only one fly in the ointment. The INQ tried the Seetickets site at 9 am this morning, and the tickets still weren't on sale. Just keep trying. µ
V Festival is the worst festival in the world and does not deserve to even have the word Glastonbury in the same article.

I suggest you stick to Tech news.
