That follows MSI's bold bid today to evade Intel's diktat on messing about with 865 chipsets and PAT by inventing MAT, which is like PAT but obviously uses a different letter of the alphabet to denote chipset overclocking, on a Segway, so to speak.
Over at this site, there appears to be a notice which links to this Asus page, saying that an Intel executive has endorsed what the Mobo maker calls Hyper PATH.
It quotes Intel's general manager of the chipset division, Randy Wilhelm, as saying the Asus P4P800, an 865PE chipset, takes full advantage of everything the 865 chipset has to offer.
Would this, by any chance, include a new BIOS that turns the 865PE into a CanterwoodClone?
We think we should be told. ยต
