HP notebook claims 24hr battery life

Weighs two ton

HP CLAIMS TO HAVE designed a notebook that offers up to 24 hours of continuous operation on just a single battery charge.

Ted Clark, a senior HP VP, went so far as to compare the quest for a 24-hour battery to a famous Arthurian legend.

“All-day computing has been the holy grail of notebook computing,” he blithered.

According to Clark, the Elitebook 6930p will allow users to work a full day without having to worry about their notebook batteries running out.

The laptop is supposedly able to achieve this fantastic feat by conserving power via a combination of advanced “HP engineering and energy-efficient components.”

The notebook uses an (optional) Illumi-Lite LED display to boost battery run time by up to four hours, while its Intel SSD reportedly facilitates a 7 percent increase in battery life compared with traditional hard drives.

The power-conscious computer, which weighs 4.7 pounds (2.1 kilograms), is apparently designed to withstand high temperatures and extreme humidity. The 6930p also features a shock-resistant hard drive, an enhanced display panel and a spill-resistant keyboard.

An obviously-bored HP marketeer noted that the new notebook will allow users to travel more than 10 times between London and Paris on the EuroStar train before having to recharge the battery.

They may have to do it twice on the M25 on the way to Dover though, the weatherman warned. µ
