Google slides in new presentations features

Nice to have
Sat Jan 05 2008, 13:38

TWO MONTHS after launching its Presentations slideshow program, Google is beefing up the effort.

The G-men have disclosed new capabilities including embedding of slideshows in websites, blogs or other media; quick ways to import slides; drag-and-drop image insertion; and faster ways to rearrange slides and change background schemes.

There are two more just-in features. One is the ability to create sub-folders, two is the ability to rename documents and folders from the Docs home toolbar.

These capabilities fall squarely into the nice-to-have rather than must-have category. Still, if anybody is going to knock Microsoft Office off its perch it is probably going to be Google Docs so every little helps.

You can read all about it, and see a slideshow, here. ยต
