Altix 512P NASA system gets airing

Linux on Altix on great big systems

DAVID KANTER of Real World Tech and Ken Farmer of LinuxHPC.org have lightly grilled Jason Pettit about the Altix product line.

Pettit, the Altix prodman at SGI, describes the architecture of the product and in particular the 512P system used by NASA. That's one of the biggest non clustered systems on the planet.
