A perfect Christmas present for Craig Barrett

HERE'S A GIZMO to help top Intel dude Craig Barrett catch a trout, a salmon or a cod.

Norcross Marine Products said it has released the Hawkeye Portable Fish Finder which combines a sonar sensor bunged into the water and a pocket sized LCD.

The FF3355P is for fishermen on the edges of shores, docks, bridges, canoes or skating on thin ice. It gives a readout on a two inch LCD screen of fish readings, depth readings, and weed and bottom contour readings.

What-a-whopperThe sensor can read through both ice and boat hulls the firm said, with a depth range of between 1.5 to 100 feet using four AAA batteries which last 20 hours. The sonar beam angle is 45 degrees with a frequency of 200KHz.

The unit costs $100 which includes a neck stap and storage bag.

But while it may help you find fish, catching the creature may be that little bit harder. Perhaps Dr Barrett, noted for his fishin' and huntin' skills, doesn't need the gizmo at all, as you can see from this giant whopper he's displaying. ยต
