OCZ launches PC2-6400 Titanium memory

Nvidia chipset-loving marchitecture
Friday, 3 November 2006, 12:11
PLUCKY memory player OCZ just announced some PC2-6400 Titanium serious memory with Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP). It is the first EPP module with 1T command rate.

The memory is optimised for Nvidia's Nforce 590 SLI chipset and the boards based on it and we bet it will be optimised for Nforce 680 SLI as well, but Nvidia doesn't want that announced yet.

OCZ expects the Titanium XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) to be popular with enthusiasts, gamers and high-end system builders.

The chaps from OCZ claim you need the right memory in the Nforce 5900 SLI Intel LGA 775 chipset to get the most out of the Quad Core QX6700.

OCZ reckons the Enhanced Performance Profiles will reduce the latencies for the faster memory access at 800MHz rate and it will work at 1T command rate. 1T solves the contention issues and increases memory performance.

PC2-6400 Titanium modules will be available in 1024MB densities and 2GB (2x1024MB) dual channel kits. These should hit the channel soon. ยต
