Techage tests the Wacom Graphire4 6x8 pen tablet. It is a two in one input system with a mouse and a stylus. The pen has 512 levels of sensitivity and the tablet is just larger than a mouse pad. The tablet actually comes with USB cord as well as clear plastic sheet under which you can put a picture to trace. The software package is quite impressive including the likes of Adobe Photoshop elements, Corel Painter Essentials 2, Nik Color Efex Pro2 GE, Evernote Plus and JustWrite Office4. Oh, and the mouse is pretty unique as well.
Hothardware reviews the Systemax Wildcat AMD Athlon 64 FX60 SLI Gaming PC. The world of gaming is set to change as the chess battle between AMDTI and Intel and Nvidia is going on. Systemax might be one of the bigger US manufacturers, it chose to tap the gamers' market with a solid product. The system has three graphic cards - twin 7900GTX SLI and a Physics PPU, 2GB memory, three HDDs - included two RAID-0 Raptors, loads of software, a Saitek Eclipse keyboard and a Razerhead Copperhead mouse. Pity though that there is only a one year warranty. Good performance, but a little bit on the expensive side, especially as the Conroe platform might soon turn tables around.
Anandtech reviews the E6300 and the E6400 members of the Core2 Duo family and found out they delivered fantastic value for the money. The 6300 is particularly targeted as it costs under £115+VAT in the UK. AMD reduced its prices too though, which is a good thing, really. The E6300 underwent a 700MHz overclock while the E6400 was just slightly more tweakable with 750MHz. Should you overclock the E6300, you will be well rewarded for the effort.
3Dgameman has a video review of the Super Talent MEGA Screen MP3 player. It has a colour screen, a paw-like control and a minute size - less than 9mm thick and 36g. The screen is rather large at 128x128 pixels - capable of displaying 262k colours - and it comes with a FM tuner. Other features include the capacity to record voice and FM radio as well as a cheap price. Only downside is that you can get up to 2GB memory onboard with no option to increase that.
Meanwhile, Neoseeker checked the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard, which is GB's top of the range Core2 Duo compatible motherboard. The last thing you could say is that it is short on features. Firstly, it has six Quad - Four BIOS, coolers, Triple phase, external SATA2 ports, Quad core support, four DDR2 slots, silent pipe cooling, superior overclocking capabilities - compared to existing GB motherboards and of course the ability to flash the BIOS from Windows. Other bullet points include seven expansion slots, eight SATA connectors and HD Audio compatibility.
An appeal to all the Acer Travelmate laptop owners. I have been having big problems with the pin at the back of the laptop. Has anyone got a clue how to solve that problem which is bugging me? When plugging in the adaptor, it says that there is a "Powersurge on hub port : A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port" when I don't actually have anything connected to the USB ports. µ
