AMD knows its OSes from its SOSes

AMD SENT US A NOTE to say that it today celebrates a year of having an Operating System Research Center (OSRC) in Dresden.

So successful has this little hive of activity been that the 20 or so folk that work there are now allowed to be counted as members of the secret fraternity known as the worldwide AMD research and development (R&D) network.

We feel confident that within another year or so the boffins In Dresden will be able to tell us exactly what an operating system is.

Interested geeky types can enjoy a butcher's of the site here to get a feel for what it's like to be an UberGeek. ยต
