EU threatens Microsoft with $4 million a day fine

Commissioner Kroes flies off the handle
Thu Mar 01 2007, 15:21
EU COMMISSIONER Neelie Kroes claimed Microsoft is still not coming up with demands for information required and threatened to fine the Vole $4 mill a day unless it coughs up.

According to AP, Ms Kroes' department has given Microsoft four weeks to spill the beans on info the EU wants and rejected 1,500 pages supplied by Volish lawyers.

But Microsoft reckons the EU is going way too far and doesn't want to share every single thing it has with its competitors.

Just who are Microsoft's competitors, anyway? [Don't answer, Ed.] µ
