HIS lifts lid on 2900 XT

Pants down, pants up

HIS PULLED "an Asus' yesterday, briefly updating the company website with details of an unreleased product, then pulling the data back down again.

The product in question was the Radeon HD 2900 XT, and whilst we know pretty much everything there is to know about the card, it's always nice to have these things confirmed. Thankfully for you, the avid reader, trying to remove information from the internet is like trying to remove a whizz in the ocean, so the data lives on here.

All the specs we already know - 512MB of DDR3, 512-bit memory interface, 320 shader units, blah blah. More interesting is that there's no HDMI output on the card, rather a DVI to HDMI converter is provided.

The cooler looks like the standard ATI job, which is disappointing, since HIS usually integrates something cool from Arctic Cooling. Maybe soon, eh? µ
