NOR flash vastly improves write speed

A FIRM has designed NOR flash which will write data at 100 megabits a second, a speed as fast as hard drives.

Nikkei reports that start up fabless firm Genusion has 100 times the write performance of current NOR flash.

The firm has shortened the floating gate length to 50 microns. A 4MB NOR device is already in prototype form with products available in 2008. ยต
