SOME MIGHT like it and others not. Reviews have been mixed on the internet. The Hauppauge DEC-1000T external Mini Freeview receiver costs only £22.99+VAT and should receive all the Free to air Channels. Simply plug it in your standard telly via the supplied SCART cable. Thanks to Scan.

But that's not all from that lot. They have a whole list of items that they sell cheap - very cheap and you can even get a free D Link DFE-530TX+ NIC is you purchase over £149+VAT. Well, it is only a network card but who cares? They sell a bundle comprising of a Panasonic Dual layer Triple format 16x DVD writing - compatible with DVD RAM, with 20 DVDs and four felt tip pens for only £24.99+VAT. They're also selling a 200GB Seagate Barracuda Hard disk drive for a mere £47.25+VAT, that's the 7200.7 plus model with 8MB cache. The SATA model with NCQ support costs only £2 more.

They won my day with a XFX Geforce FX5500 card with 128MB memory for only £19.95. Come on, anything that is better than an FX5200 card and costs less than £20 is bound to be a good thing.

Electronicsnation offers an even cheaper superwide monitor. The 62PL774 62-inch monitor from Philips, the Cineos costs only $1842 and shopping is included. Based on the third generation Liquid Crystal On Silicon, Dual tuners, DVI, Dolby Virtual surrond, 3D Comb filer and a well designed remote control.

Try hard to get a P4 laptop and you'll have great difficulties getting an even better deal than this one, even on ebay. The Dell Latitude C640 is one of those deals. ou get a P4 2GHz processor with 256MB memory, a 40GB HDD, a mobility Radeon 7500 with 32MB memory powering a 14.1-inch screen, and a CDROM drive. While there is no carrying case to go with it, you still get Windows 200 Pro and a nice price of $449.
