THE TECHZONE via Lady Sarah Hu has a rant about the inkjet shell game as she discovers what many already know. Ink makes the world go round. One wise word of advise. Always check for compatible ink cartridge before choosing your printer.

AMDZone tests the Sorell 512MB SF2000 MP3 player which is of the size of a pack of 10-cigarette box and can last an incredible 25 hours. It combines a player with a voce recorder and a FM tuner. Worth the price but could do better, especially with the Shuffle costing half the price.

Matbe calls the Chenbro Gaming Bomb II the best of casings. While its aluminium finish, its side window and two handles, it will prove to be a winner, except that its price places it against the Lian-Li V1100 which is far ahead in terms of quality.

The http://www.techreport.com/reviews/2005q1/gigabyte-ga-k8vt890-9/index.x?pg=13Gigabyte K8VT890-9 is the cheapest socket 939 PCI express motherboard available at around $80/£45 and while it is a little plain in terms of features. There is no firewire and the south bridge - the VT8237 - is somewhat dated. Performance wise there is nothing to complain about and the board overclocks slightly.

Mikhailtech reviews the Superwhite 7654-47CW barebones kit which consists of a pre-installed 300W power supply, keyboard, mouse, and speakers for around $50. The whole thing bears a very strange resemblance with some Mac.

Bit Tech has a round up of three X800XL video cards which are readily available in United Kingdom. Club3D, MSI and Sapphire all overclocked wonderfully with the first one being the most efficient. See there which one is the better between the 6800GT and the X800XL.

Soltek was once where DFI stands today, in the Enthusiast heart. Somehow, they faded in the background but they start a comeback with the Soltek K8T890 motherboard which feature Soltek's trademark purple and yellow connectors. Seems that VIA comeback to AMD will benefit everyone.

Beyond3D also tests three Club 3D ATI cards, one being the PCIe/AGP version X800XL and the other the X850PRO. The first one is slower but uses 16 pipelines while the latter is faster but uses only 12 pipelines. µ
