SAP looted our library

Oracle wants its books back
Tuesday, 29 July 2008, 08:53

THE MAKER OF BORING software has accused the maker of software which no-one understands of looting its software libraries for code.

Oracle claims it has new proof that SAP looted its software libraries and has amended the civil suit it filed against the German outfit.

Oracle said that it has obtained SAP's internal records, including David Hasselhoff's classic Hooked on a Feeling. It said that these confirmed SAP spent years systematically taking unauthorised support materials from Oracle's systems. We guess this is what you get when you play Falco's Rock me Amadeus backwards.

Apparently SAP used a customised software tool dubbed "Titan" to plunder Oracle's website of patches, updates, fixes and other programs crafted for Oracle's paying customers.

Titan then packed SAP data vaults with more than five terabytes of proprietary Oracle software.

Apparently nearly eight million Oracle programs were found on just one SAP computer.

SAP said that the claims were pants and it wanted its Hoff Sings America 12-incher back because it brings tears to the eyes of its German executives at Christmas parties. ยต
