DVD X Copy is back

Pirate sites are starting to spring up
Thu Aug 12 2004, 08:14
A TAIWAN BASED site was last night peddling the DVD copying software once sold by defunct 321 Studios which was hounded out of business by movie industry lawyers.

www.DVDXCopy2.com even seemed to have nicked the content once found on the 321 Studios website including reviews.

The site was not up for long as this morning - when we had a look it was offline.

However, we don't know why anyone would risk going to such a site. Ripped copies of the ripper are online and it is unlikely that 321 are going to do you for copyright infringement.

In fact all that can be said for the movie industry's actions are that it has forced what should be some fairly legit software into the hands of pirate companies who can always sense when there is a demand for something. µ
