FIRST UP, a bundle of hardware boys have stuck up their "previews" of Nividia's new NV30 graphics offering - now officially dubbed the Geforce FX. Most of this info will be gleaned from statements and press releases and most - of course - will have been posted on the INQUIRER some time since.

To catch up with the news before it happened, wibble your way through the links on the bottom of this article here.

Here comes the name check for the previews up and about thus far.. Lucky dip 'em, we suggest..

Meanwhile, the Nvidia product that did slip out and is reviewable today is Nvidia's GeForce4 4200 Go - the mobile incarntaion of the fine GeForce4 Ti. Anandtech had the good sense to review this baby, based on what we used to call the NV28M, over here.

Elsewhere, just by way of a reminder, here's the Source's look at a Radeon 9700PRO.

Back at Anandtech we spy a review of small form-factor Shuttle cases here. The interesting thing we note, thanks to reader Colin, is this sentence: "Shuttle had to redesign their heatsink/heatpipe setup for the nForce2 product in order to accommodate the upcoming Athlon XP 3200+ which is fully supported by this platform." So just how big is the 3200+, we wonder.

The fine fellows at OCWorkbench got their hands on an ASUS P4G8X Dual DDR P4 mainboard to fiddle with over the weekend, and quite pleased they were with it too, as you'll discover with a wibble over here.

Tech-report rounded up a bunch of mobos based on AMD's 760MPX chipset for dual processor, er, solutions, over here. What a bind, they say. They'd much rather be fiddling with a Hammer or two.

And in modder's corner, Am Not A Geek has a new review of the Xoxide X450 Aluminum Case over here.

While OCA has a look at the Xoxide Dual Voltage 6 Port Baybus over here.

Do you think the move was justified?
