POLYWELL HAS JOINED THE LAUNCH PARTY for AMD's new Opteron processor. The folks over at AMDZone had a tip-off about the new system and put some details up. The system is a dual processor 1U rack mount.

The base specification includes 2GB of ECC-DDR333 and a U320 SCSI controller. The memory occupies 4 of 8 DIMM slots and the system supports up to 16GB. There are also all the standard rack mount features like a front panel LCD, support for KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) and a built in service processor running a web server with its own dedicated dual Ethernet ports.

You can find the full details on the Polywell site. ยต
