The Dell ads have a line in them which runs something like: "Beware of imitations, buy a Pentium 4 2GHz Dell."
The Dell Corporation is one of the biggest distributors of Intel chips and gets special prices to remain so, although occasionally AMD executives wheel by its Round Rock office and sign the visitor book, just to keep Chipzilla on its toes.
If the INQUIRER was a believer in conspiracy theories, rather than just a believer in cockups and the banality of existence, we'd think that Intel was orchestrating a massive anti-AMD campaign.
But that can't be the case, can it? Because as we know, Intel never comments about competitors.
Not to Her Majesty's Press, anyroad. ยต
