Prosecutrix Inger Marie Sunde wants to add charges that allege the kid cracked some code with a database of keys, meaning that the DeCSS code would work with a wide range of DVD films.
But Johansen's lawyer is opposing the changes because he claimed adding this set of charges would completely change the nature of the original charges.
The newspaper said this is the third time the authorities have changed the charges, and the judge is expected to signal today whether he will accept a set of amended charges.
The prosecution wants to prove conspiracy in the case, bringing in conversations Johansen allegedly had with other crackers worldwide.
