AMD confirms price cuts

It's Tweedledee and Tweedledum dum dum

CHIP FIRM AMD confirmed that it was dropping prices on some of its microprocessors - a move that's come only weeks after the last price cut it made.

The move is seen as anticipating price cuts Intel will roll out on the 22nd of July, with prices falling on single core Athlon 64s. Dual core chips will end up being the entry level as both AMD and Intel attempt to persuade the world+dog that multicores are the way to go.

Be nice if the software caught up with this trend at some time in the future. µ

Do you think the move was justified?
