AND SO we will wend our way to the Clachan tonight, yes, the Cloo Clux Clachan, home to many of a previous Out of Focus Group (OOFG) gig, where the readers, all 10 of them, congregated to celebrate the birth of the INQ out of the ashes of the Togister.

Readers have always been very important to the INQ, and we were lucky to have the support of a fine band when we cranked up this organ seven years ago. They are all in the Kave, you know?

The Clachan isn’t what it was then – a dingy pub down Kingley Street next to Liberty’s.

No.

Now it’s a dingy pub in Kingley Street with high stools which means the beer costs more and it’s trendy with the young set.

The last INQ OOFG will be held there tonight, however – probably about 6:30PM. First one there, grab the seats.

The Kave is unaffiliated to the INQ. It is a Readers Klub for gentlefolk. µ

An Editor adds: Don't imagine we'll be giving up drinking just because he's cleared off. Oh dearie me, no.

I wholeheartedly agree with both of them. Go smoke a fag and say good riddance to the adverts...

Important readers?

Then why these god awful between-page adverts that have been thrown on the site over the past week. They're awful, and make me wants to ditch the INQ.

Yes, and I was here at the start.

INQ Poll

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
