Skype is in partial recovery

Be still my beating heart. I am fibrillating in the ICU

CHEAPO PHONE SERVICES FIRM Skype has staged a slight recovery and has favoured people that pay first.

If you use Skype Out and phone, er, phones, Skype works fine. So does Skype In, Voicemail and SMS, the firm has claimed.

We've tested some of these paid for functions - they do work. But what a loss of confidence Skype must have invoked by the so-far totally unexplained "downage".

Many freeSkypers use the IM services because they're encrypted. It's good to know Ebay is looking after its paying customers first. But its non paying customers must be wondering by now whether the system is worth a candle and whether they'll be bypassed again. Should they upgrade?

Despite the naff beating heart logo, we await a proper explanation from Skype Central itself about the coronary and why it happened. Were they stressed out? Did they smoke too many fags? The Skype PR spinners are hiding. ยต
