Man arrested tapping into vet's computer

Fixed, but it shouldn't happen to a vet

FLORIDA'S St Petersburg coppers were called to a vet's house to finger the collar of a bloke who had hacked into his home computer using a wireless link.

According to Tampa Bay's 10 News, the vet noticed the bloke sitting in a car outside his house, but thought nothing of it until he looked at his computer screen.

The vet noticed that icons were appearing on his computer screen and this puzzled him because he did not access any of those areas.

Inspector Knacker of the St Pete popped around and had a quiet word with 40-year-old Benjamin Smith III while he was still on-line in front of the veterinarian's home still connected.

In later discussions Smith was charged with "offence against a computer", which in those parts is a felony.

A police spokescop said that they are not really sure what Smith was up too. They can't work out if he was hacking or simply borrowing the vet's internet connection to do some free surfing. You can read more here. µ
