Dell direct marketing efforts skewed

Junk mailings miss the mark by a few centuries

QUESTIONS ARE BEING raised in the House of Dell, following reports that the champion of direct selling has bought a slightly out of date mailing list with which woo rich potential clients.

George-ii--1727-1760 The list, thought to contain secret details of some of the world's more affluent monarchs, may have been faked.

And Dell is understood to be furious that its efforts to persuade European aristocrats of the delights of the direct model are falling on dead ears.
