Netgear Ethernet bridge plug could cause electrocution

THE US CONSUMER Product Safety Commission said Netgear has agreed to recall 53,500 Wall Plug Ethernet Bridges because the unit could cause an electric shock.

The bridge has plastic housings and this can come off.

The model number of the unit is the XE102, and a chain of serial numbers is involved.

alt='plugg'The US site said that people should stop using the product immediately, power off the electricity and unplug the unit. Netgear will provide a free repair kit for the unit.

There's no news as to whether these units are for sale outside the USA. µ
