SHAME on Sony. Personally, I would be inclined to embrace a song or jingle that offended ANY religious group. In my considered opinion, being P-C is a sign of weakness.

Sony was caught in the middle of a clash between Muslim cultures. Diabate (the artist) is a Muslim, and like most of his countrymen, thinks his work honors the Koran. But it seems like this is a minority view among Muslims.

The interesting part is that when Muslims clash with each other, no one wants to get caught in the middle. Companies discretely duck and cover, turn tail and run.

It is sad that I agree that Muslims are getting their way in all things, however, when I look at the arguments against them it is a shame as well. I agree that Muslims should be ignored equally as all religions are. I do not hate or dislike Muslims, but they need to learn as the rest of us have that we do not get our way. 

As for being all fumed about a track, try this on for size. Your beliefs are wrong. Belief in God is not proven or aided by causation. Do you believe in elves, trolls, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, people that can fly, talking animals, dragons, demons, faeries, or mermaids? But God is completely possible and real right? Fair enough if some of them find the mixing of music and the Koran offensive then simply do not sell the product in their countries (or simply replace the one song with something else). The fact is that we are fast approaching 7 billion people here on Earth and only 1.5 billion of them are Muslim.

Christians and jews share the same belief too. The reason why Islamists are so islamic is because islam is a relatively new religion, thereby its followers do take seriously even the slightest of offences. I think Sony did the right thing pulling off this game. They understood what you fail to do, that some thing in life should be treated with respect, and that freedom doesn't mean to make a joke out of everything.

I advise you to actually learn the meanings of the words you use in your article, for example the word fatwa!!!

the one that blowing things up is USA and it's agents and israel and they are killing muslems dail in iraq and palistine, there u got double treatment. if it is bad thing for muslems then u say it is ok and u don't even talk about it, but when muslem is trying to take action u react as he try to rule u, muslems only want islam and all religions to be respected.

Islam is not a great religion, from what I've seen and heard from the people I work with, it seems more based on fear and control. All religions are just a form of control over the masses and to prevent complete anarchy from happening. Religion may have had a place in the past, but I think it's highly overrated these days. And as the above poster stated it should be ignored equally like all the others. It's a shame the Muslims are getting so much publicity these days.
