Would you know a bottom if you saw one? - Kevin Delaney, WSJ
Challengeu.co.uk was one address that a young couple found while surfing for their ultimate baby-in-car sticker. The sticker in question was an acrylic, LED-powered sign. Shelling out 15 UK pounds isn't something you would do unless you really like what you see.
This sign sadly, was never delivered to one couple...
Money was transferred through PayPal, and the credit card was charged but the product was not delivered. INQUIRER-reading dad contacted his local representative a while ago and asked for help.
...but yes, their credit card was billed
We tried to get in touch with Challengeu.co.uk both by e-mail and by phone, but after four weeks of trying, we've had no reply.
We also tried to address things through PayPal. Sadly, in the 10 weeks since the original order was made, nothing has happened.
We saved copies of our attempts to contact this e-tailer gone wild, dated between April 27th and May 22nd.
Phone calls on the "direct sales" number have been made in UK working hours between those dates and sadly, did not produce an answer.
Calling today put us in a dodgy-sounding queue. No company name is stated before you are put on hold.
The INQ's challenge to Challengeu is to get in touch.
These 15 quids serve as a warning about the dangers of on-line.
Nothing is bulletproof. And real money can be taken away, even when using secure payment services. µ
