Geforce 7800GT to arrive on 11th of August

WE ARE TALKING about one more hard launch. Nvidia will ship the 7800GT cards prior to its launch on the 11th of August and will distribute them to the channel including shops. You will be able to buy these cards the minute the green chaps launch them.

If Nvidia doesn't change its plans, you should be able to get one for about $399 at launch and the partners expect that it might drop fast to much less than that. That sounds like great value to us.

We are still not sure how many pipelines this thing will have, but it transpires that the GT chip will end up with less than 24 pipes. Everyone else is suggesting 20 pipes but it could be even less than that.

Last time we asked we were told the core will work at 400 MHz. µ
