DEAR LEADER of the glorious people's republic of North Korea, Kim Jong-Il has ordered the teachers of the children of the workers to magnificently increase lessons in computers.
Kim said that North Korea needs to develop more software technology in a bid to show the evil capitalist pigs of the world that only true technological brilliance flows only from the collective hearts and minds of the workers.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong-Il said that it was of 'weighty importance' to develop programming technology as required by the age of science and technology and the age of the computer.
Kim, 65, said that did not mean that glorious workers would need access to the Internet or more money for gear. Currently North Korea runs its own version of the internet which is closely monitored to prevent citizens being subverted by wily Western ways. Content is mostly limited to science and technology and available only to a few research institutes, universities, factories and blessed Communist party officials.
Kim reassured his citizens that he was an Internet expert and there would be grave consequences for North Korea if it was connected to the Interweb. So it must be true then, if Kim says it.
More here. µ
Um, exactly where in the article you linked to did it say anything about not funding the projects that Kim is talking about? I failed to find about half of your claimed "Kim says" information anywhere in the linked article. I may not think highly of NK, but if I'm going to complain about them, I think I'll make complaints that I know can be backed up.
