Noiseless video cards reviewed

Hardware Roundup

VR ZONE has a PMP on test. The InnoDV iView Pro comes from HK based manufacturer Innovision. It features a 3.5-inch TFT display, supports CF card, can house 20GB worth of film on its HDD, is compatible with DivX, MPEG1 & 2, VOB formats as well as loads more. It also comes with a high speed USB 2.0 interface and an IR remote control. Yeah and it is cheaper than most of its competitors while offering more in terms of functionalities. Another review they did was that of the Powercolor Bravo X700 PCIe card which comes with a Silent Cooling System. Only a large heatsink to cool everything. A very good overclocker capable of a 25% overclock despite the absence of a HSF.

Hardwarezoom checks another Silent Card, the Gecube Silencool Radeon X700Pro PCIe card. Unlike VRzone, they did not overclock theirs. Even then, it is a powerful combination. Single Slot card, Noise free operation and G6600GT perfomrmance will make it a winner with SFF owners. HWZoom asks for cooling fan option on this one as well as memory chip coolers. Second review they have is the large and massive Neon Cooler 8-Pro from Gigabyte which is especially destined for Athlon FX55/64 up to 4000+ series. It has a low noise fan frame design with an adjustable fan speed control panel and blue leds - though the latter do not cool the CPU per se ;-)

Adrian's Rojak Pot tests the Hyundai HY-6611 MP3 player. Hyundai is better known for its car. ARP checks that 1GB voice recorder FM radio receiver MP3 player and finds its pretty much enjoyable. After fifteen pages and a lot of smilies, they are very pleased with it even if it has its own shortcomings. It is damn cheap for a 1GB capacity.

The Vantec Nextar External HD enclosure is on trial at PimpRig. For once, one of those peripherals looks cool to the eye even matching Pimprig site design. It is made up of aluminium and has only a USB 2.0, with performance being on par with others. Mind the scratches though.

Xtremeresources has the Aerocool Aero Power black/silver line handy for a test. This 550W mammoth PSU is just what the doctor prescribed to you to cure your SLI and Dual core problems. It has a titanium coated mirror finish, is silent and has two SATA UV reactive sleeved cables.

Phoronix also checks a PSU, the ePower Tagan 480W. With ten molex connectors and rubber protection cover, you know that you are not dealing with some rubbish PSU. Even then, the lack of cable sleeving ahd the two SATA connectors may deter some people. µ
