FINDING A SUITABLE HOME for my new Intel Core2 Duo was made pretty simple when Enlight asked me if I'd like to have a look at its new ATX tower case, the EN4113.

Its £40 price tag prompted me to ask if it actually came with a power supply and when I was assured that it indeed has a 350W PSU complete with 120mm fan, I asked for one to be shipped to Spinola Towers forthwith.

I'll admit that at just forty quid, I wasn't expecting it to knock my socks off, but when it arrived it passed the vital complete-absence-of-sharp-edges test that so many case manufacturers fail miserably.

In my experience, the presence of any number of whizzy blue LEDs does not compensate for bloodstains on the carpet and Band-Aids on both hands.

The case comes with a 92mm back panel fan as standard and has space for another at the front for chilling out those hard disks. With four 5.25 and four 3.25-inch drive bays, plus space for a floppy if you're in a legacy kinda mood, along with two front panel USB and audio connectors, the EN4113 looks pretty good in black and grey, meets all those CE, FCC, UL and TUV thingies and is claimed to be pretty good on the EMI shielding stakes as well.

At the price it's pretty much unbeatable and you'd be daft to pass it by. µ
