Intel sponsors a Lan Party

More low blows

CHEAP SHOTS ARE like Everywhere Girl stories, nothing for a long time, then when you least expect it, they flow like a journalist who didn't listen to advice on eating street meat in Taiwan.

This time, we go back to the old standby, Intel after a brief sojourn to Nvidia land. The topic of the moment? Lan parties sponsored by Intel, specifically Desert Bash 5.

In all seriousness, Intel generously sponsored this event, and went so far as to host it on its Chandler campus. The company supports gaming, and went one step farther than the usual sending of money and trinkets, it gave space to a bunch of anti-social twits like me.

That is where the problem comes in, and it would take a knee-biting ingrate to point this out. Luckily, that, again, is me.

Yup, the lan party partially paid for by Intel, hosted at an Intel cutting edge plant, and with Intel logos all over the site, is dominated by AMD computers. The numbers above show about 60 per cent AMD to 38 per cent Intel, no word on what the stragglers are using. Either way, don't spread this around , it may be embarrassing for them. ยต
