WITH THE HAMMER HYPE still hot, the hardware sites are doing your groundwork for you by posting up explanations of what the technology is expected to do and where it actually comes from.

XBit labs has posted a nice piece on how AMD's Hammer processors relate to the development of x86-64 technology over here.

They've also got a review of an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ on 0.13-Micron Thoroughbred core. That's over here.

Another AMD Opteron Hammer processor preview pops up on Hardwarezone over over here.

Lost Circuits fiddle with an 'Albino Rhino', Soltek's new motherboard, the SL-85MIR-L, over here.

ExHardware has a look at ABIT's Siluro GeForce4 Ti 4200 Graphics card over here.

There's a look at 3Ware's Escalade 8500-4 Serial ATA/150 RAID controller over here at GamePC.

We've found a Keytronic keyboard sporting its own fingerprint scanner for only $150 over here.

And there's a look at some software designed to allow you to wrest control of your PC back from Microsoft. That's on 3DVelocity's pages, with their look at WinTasks 4 Professional over here.

For a post in the Daily Wibble mail the Wibbler here. ยต
