Best Buy will be gateway for, er, Gateway

WE TOLD YOU ABOUT BEST BUY kissing up to Gateway, or maybe about Gateway kissing up to BB. I am still not sure which one is the 'bitch', but if I had to guess, I would say it is Gateway. It is desperate for anyone to pay them the slightest bit of attention.

So, Gateway branded machines are showing up in BB stores. Yay. Or is that Yay? Either way, it is only the beginning of the relationship. Computers should be there now, laptops soon, and the unannounced part, consumer electronics. Yes, Direct from Taiwan, to South Dakota, to Minneapolis, to you.

Not only will the entire line of Gateway branded stuff end up in BB, but the excess capacity that Gateway has will be rebranded to BB's in-house name, VPR Matrix. The cheap electronics that Gateway peddles will be peddled by BB under a cheaper brand. Would you buy a VPR Matrix plasma TV? µ
