Biostar shows Nforce chipset

Single-chip with integrated Geforce targeting OEMs
Wednesday, 13 June 2007, 17:58
EVER SINCE THE CHIPSET known as "NFORCE5" appeared in world of La Intella, we wondered when Nvidia would make its first single-chip for Intel CPUs.

While AMD enjoyed single-chip offerings since nForce3 150 hit the streets, Intel's chipsets were always more expensive due to the fact that Nvidia had to use two chips.

One of these chips was almost always AMD's nForce4 or nForce5 chipset, while second one would contain memory controller and Intel's GTL+ support.

This board belongs to T-Force series, so even overclocking features are expected on other normal, business oriented micro-ATX part

Now, things are changing with nForce 7050 for Intel, single-chipset for Intel CPUs.this all-in-one chip comes with integrated graphics (Geforce 7 series, baseline performance) with support for both DVI and HDMI, FSB1333/1066/800 MHz and upcoming Penryn processors.

Kudos to Biostar for showing off this one-chip chipset. You can expect these to be ready for back to school period - a lot of entry-level desktops and notebooks should come with this one, ending up as a pair for Core 2 Duo processors. µ
