Another Xbox 360 price-cut coming

again, giving new of another Xbox 360 price-cut in September.
The Arcade is to fall to $199, the 60GB Pro to $299, and the Elite will retail at $399.

During a conference call this week, Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith
spoke
about the company's expectations for console sales in 2008, revealing that it
believes the Playstation 3 will sell more consoles than the Xbox 360 by the end
of the year.
Sony still has a long way to go to beat the Wii - Nintendo outsold the PS3 3-to-1 in Japan during July.
Fortunately its PSP is doing very well - settling in at the top of the sales leaderboard.
Sony has announced that Japanese PS3 owners will be getting the chance to participate in a beta of Playstation Home.

According to Edge, a NintendoDS successor is ready, and may be imminently launched due to slowing sales of the current DS hardware.

ANOTHER 360 price cut? The last one was just prior to E3, less than a month ago. Looks like Microsoft are getting desperate. Perhaps potential owners have dried up, as they have seen it for what it really is...
I'm kinda sick of articles saying this console sold 2 to one, 3 to one etc.....
I got all 3 and i got them cause i like the games that are exclusive and dont care about the brand.

In my case, the answer to that (question?) is "too loud!" Much, much too loud.

I liked the pad, and the games I played were decent, not jaw-dropping amazing.

But I couldn't live with a device which threatened to bring on premature deafness faster than front row seats at an AC/DC gig.
This is a US price cut, which HAS NOT happened before. The only "price cut" you could be referring to was lowering the price on the premium to $299.00, which it appears will be continued as the 60gb replacements come in. This just announces a price-cut across the model line.

If you were actually enjoying your console, you wouldn't need to spend your time attacking mine.
I love my xbox 360, the online features are far above the rest: I like the fact that I can video chat with my brother/friends instead of going to their houses. I love that I can voice chat with my friends inside or outside games. I pay $50/365 =14cents a day for gold membership, well technically I get a month free so its $50/395 = 13cents a day.

I can't wait for the netflix link so I can watch my netflix movies on my box (no need to fire up the pc). 
the community is vibrant and there's always an event somewhere (on my side of town we even host our own events).
now-a-days my friends and I stop lugging our PCs out, we bring our xbox 3.60 to our hosted community events.
My roommates and I are waiting for all the consoles to drop just a bit more in price. We are all poor college students and really want these newer consoles, but cant afford them right now.

If only PS3 would drop some more so I can get Gran Turismo 5. It would make it so we stop playing Halo I so much....
Mr Sony Ceo is way more optimistic than he should be

With PS3 being the most expensive console out there this is not going to happen...

Plus XBOX360 is going to release some great exclusive games for their console from this Fall and in Q1 2009

Do i need to say that Fallout 3 will have exclusive features only for the PC and for the XBOX360

Do i need to say the Splinter Cell Conviction is going to be released only in XBOX360 and in PC

Do i need to say that most PC games become ports in XBOX360 and way less in PS3

Sony Gaming department is weak and if they think that 3-4 good games like MGS4 is going to save their console they must be delusional...
