AMD buys in more 65 nano, 45 nano tech

Heading for Dresden

AXCELIS SAID it has had a follow up order from AMD for a single wafer Optima implanter.

That ships this month to AMD's Dresden 12-inch fab and will be used to make devices at 45 nanometres and 65 nanometres, Axcelis said.

AMD bought single wafer implant tech from Axcelis for the first time, last year. µ
