AMD64 auto swoops on IDF journalist

Strike a Mazda light
Monday, 22 August 2005, 07:00
WE DUNNO who the geezer on the right is next to this sporty Mazda with an AMD64 licence plate.

But we know who the chap on the left is. It's none other than the rightly famous Andreas Stiller, from c't. We saw the AMD Mobile draw up, the geezer on the right jump out and hail Andreas. We then hailed Andreas and he turned round and gave us this winning smile. The AMD Mobile's driver's smile looks a little like he's dazzled by Mazda, who is as INQ readers doubtless know, the Zoroastrian god of light.

The shot is taken outside of the San Francisco Argent Hotel, Intel's favoured abode for the international journalists in the build up to its Developer Forum.

If the chap in the AMD64Mobile gets anywhere near the convention at the Moscone when it starts on Tuesday, he might find Intel sending an armed cop his way, like it did with the AMD limo just last year.
