Crackers all round

THANKS TO a reader of Xboxhacker.net for this one.

Microsoft wants to hire a software design engineer to collect, evaluate and analyse mod chips for the Xbox.

The reason? It also wants her or him to do security design reviews on both hardware and software for the console and design hardware detection code fragments to embed in future versions of the Xbox, according to the job description.

The successful candidate has to have rather an impressive amount of knowledge, including cryptography, copy protection, X86 assembler and boot sequence.

BS in computer science or computer engineering is required, but no salary is given. You can find the job spec here.
