The outfit which has been watching its income fall by 28 per cent plans to hand 15 per cent of its staff their pink slips and P45s.

According to Bloomberg, Monster sales rose by 20 per cent to $331.1 million, which was $6 million shy of what Wall Street expected.

Monster said the job cuts to save as much as $170 million a year. It plans to spend $80 million to upgrade technology, such as software.

The company also denied that it was planning to sell itself. So says Bloomberg. µ
