Weird Ebay auction
Fri Feb 15 2002, 11:39
YOU FIND ALL sorts of bizarre stuff being flogged on Ebay but this is one of a kind.

A chap is selling an Athlon 1.3GHz CPU but it's faulty.

So far the bidding has reached £20 after starting off at a rather more modest £1, with 11 bidders interested in the CPU that doesn't quite work.

The bloke selling it says that while CPU boots in his PC, but for some reason crashes his machine.

He said that he's been unable to exchange the chip because he did the damage, but the processor is only a month old.

If you want to try re-wiring his chip, go here
