Lost Planet DX10 demo arrives tomorrow

On the cusp
Monday, 14 May 2007, 10:11
WE'VE BEEN almost on the cusp of a wave of DX10 titles for a long time now. In fact, some of the big names are so close to washing up on shore now that we're packing out buckets and spades already.

Tomorrow, we're looking out for the Lost Planet demo. Whilst this has already been out on Xbox 360 for a while now, it's out on the PC in June and the playable demo is out tomorrow from all the usual places. This means that you can finally, finally, finally use your Geforce 8800 for something. Or, if you happen to end up with a Radeon HD in your postbox tomorrow, you'll be pleased to know that it's arrived just in time to be put through its paces.

Lost Planet is a futuristic shooter that is fun, but nothing to write home about. However, prepare for next month, when we see the full version of that game, as well as Shadowrun (which not only integrates DX10 but Windows Live, too, for Xbox 360 multiplay) as well as a DX10 patch for Call of Juarez.

For a list of other titles awaiting the DX10 treatment, you can check out Wikipoopia here. µ
