More versions of Microsoft IE7 in the works

You wait years for one IE and then loads arrive at once

MICROSOFT is planning another version of IE to be released soon after the browser gets out of beta.

According to a spokesVole, here, IE7+ will be designed expressly to work with Vista when it is released.

Although all versions of IE7 will have the same code base there will be some important differences in IE7+ which are only for Vista users. These include the Protected Mode, Parental Controls, and improved Network Diagnostics.

Microsoft feels that these changes were impractical to bring to the version of IE it was giving out to the great unwashed public.

Vole says that the differences should not affect "most" web developers. µ
