A TRICKLE of class actions against Intel following AMD's antitrust suit is turning into a flood.

The latest people to file antitrust class actions against the corporation include Michael Brauch and Andrew Meimes, this action filed in a San Francisco court last week.

And Susan Baxley has also filed a similar suit against Intel, again in a San Francisco court.

Meanwhile, Intel has asked a judge to move a case. As we reported, a legal firm called Intellapex is suing Intel because it believes it shouldn't have the rights to the word Intel.

And meanwhile it seems AMD has started issuing compulsory subpoenas. Two were filed last week against Avaratec and Synnex, forcing them to retain documents and emails in connection with Intel pricing, road maps and the like.

AMD said at the time of its original filing that it would seek to cooperate with the 38 firms it took action against. But if it didn't get any cooperation, it would issue compulsory subpoenas. All the firms that received AMD legal letters have until July the 19th to object against the preservation orders. It's unclear whether Avaratec and Synnex were omitted from the original subpoenas, or whether this is a futher stage in the legal action. ยต
