THE FORTHCOMING Athlon 64 3400+ is reviewed at PC World Norway today.

Unfortunately, our Norwegian is even more rudimentary than our Icelandic, so you're going to have to go figure it all out for yourself.

Here. µ

* AND A VERY kind Norwegian reader comes to the rescue with a rough summary of the page's contents.

David B says: "On the performance front, the only machine they have seen with a comparable performance was a Athlon FX reference PC from AMD - and the reviewers don't think the FX is worth the extra cost. The machine is a bit noisy with the three disks, but you could get it configured with Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 disks instead that are a bit faster and quieter. You might also want a dedicated sound card if you are really fussy. The price was around 24000 Norwegian kroner, including VAT (which is higher here). My rough guess for the price in UK would be something like £1800, but I'm not too sure of the exchange rates off hand."
