THE TITLE of the article is a little bit revolutionary. Low noise Cooling solutions for quad core processing from Gamepc rings several bells to our ears. Low noise cooling solution and quad core do not normally go together. What they actually did was picking two dual core Opterons and try five coolers on them to know which one was the better Zalman, AMD and Swiftech were included. Surprisingly, the retail cooler from AMD does an admirable job given that it is essentially free.

Xbitlabs has a look at noiseless power supplies from FPS and Topower. Together with the CPU and the HDD, the PSU is the one component that prevents me from sleeping peacefully at night. But actually only the first one was fanless. And there is a definite winner out there. Turn to Xbitlabs to know which one won.

Extremetech had a previous article running 32-bit and 64-bit Windows in several benchmarks. Now they pit AMD and Intel in a 64-bit gunfight at the OK Corral. Its verdict - AMD's implementation of X86-64 is more robust than Intel's and is definitely the platform to snatch if you are looking for a long term investment.

Firingsquad takes a look at the Asus Extreme N7800GTX TOP, certainly one of top overclocked card out there. The Asus comes with an Artic Cooler, a set of Asus utilities and looks to kill for. It also comes with the fastest memory on the market which gives it the edge when compared to other cards. Bear in mind though that it is a dual slot card.

OCinside.de tests the Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 in its own peculiar way. The article seems to come directly from an online translator but you get the gist. A very good basic overclocking motherboard offering the essential. It is based on one of those dying breeds, the nForce 3 250GB.

Israeli website HWZone.co.il sends us its review of the ECS PF21 extreme which is one of the latter attempt by ECS to jump on the enthusiast and mainstream bandwagons rather than SI, VAR's and mass buyers. This LGA775 motherboard, based on the 925XE and with all the usual goodies - including a wireless network adaptor - might not be every body's cup of tea but it does the job fairly well. µ

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
